Dadasaheb Mokashi Polytechnic, Rajmachi, realizing importance of 'English and Communication Skills', has started "English Language Lab" in the year 2012. The college has installed fully computerized Orell Digital Language Lab and Language software for teachers and students. The English Language Lab aims to enhance proficiency in spoken English through its emphasis on activity based learning. It also aims at making students speak and write simple and correct English confidently initially and later train them in soft skills so that the students get placed in reputable jobs. The software has a host of contents. The lab is focusing on training the students from their first year itself in English Language skills, Communication skills, softskills, life skills and other material for competitive exams.
It enables vernacular student to improve their language skills.All the four skills (LSRW) are given importance and learners are provided with ample opportunities to practice by listening to the audio-programmes and watching the videos based on various situations. The quality of language learning will be more when it is learnt from the multimedia, digital and computerized language lab.More than 200 students have taken advantage of language lab since last three years. Learning language in a Digital language lab break through the traditional teaching method with rich teaching material contents. It has 7000+ words vocabulary, 200+ different situational dialogues, grammar, essays on famous personalities, their speeches. The well planned contents and practice help the learners learn the language very quickly. The lg. lab provides career and P.D. course. It also guides about Group Discussion, Resume writing, Interview jitters,Presentations and Body Language.
